2026 COMMON THREADS QUILT SHOW RULES FOR PRAIRIE QUILT GUILD MEMBERS
GENERAL ENTRY RULES
- Quilt entrant must be a member in good standing of the Prairie Quilt Guild (PQG).
- General entry quilts may have been completed at any time but must not have been previously entered into the quilt show.
- A total of five (5) general entry and judged quilts combined may be entered. If you must withdraw an entry, please notify us as soon as possible.
- All entries must remain on display for the duration of the show.
- Each entry must have:
- A 4” sleeve securely sewn to back of quilt entry, see instructions on website: www.wichitaquiltshow.com
- An identification label securely sewn on the lower left hand corner of the back of the quilt. This fabric label must include your name, city and state, and the title of the quilt.
- All quilt entries must be finished by April 1, 2026.
- Delivery – It is the responsibility of entrant to pick up quilt drop off information at May and June, 2026 PQG meetings.
- Quilt pick up—It is the responsibility of the entrant to pick up quilt entries at the end of the quilt show in Century II or designate a responsible party who, with the required claim ticket, will pick up quilt entries at the end of the quilt show.
- Unclaimed entries will become the property of PQG after July 1, 2026.
- Reasonable care will be taken to protect quilt entries but if insurance is desired, it is entrant’s responsibility. Common Threads Quilt Show and Prairie Quilt Guild will not assume responsibility for lost or damaged quilts.
- Photography or videotaping is allowed for personal use only and the maker/owner of the quilt must be given credit. For other uses, obtain permission from the show office. Common Threads Quilt Show and Prairie Quilt Guild reserve the right to use photographs of all entries in publicity.
- All entries must be clean, free of strong odors and pet fur.

2026 COMMON THREADS QUILT SHOW RULES
JUDGED ENTRY RULES for Prairie Quilt Guild Members
- Quilt entrant must be a member in good standing of the Prairie Quilt Guild (PQG).
- Judged entries must have been completed anytime between 2024 through June, 2026.
- Two entries per category up to a total of five (5) general and judged entries combined. If you must withdraw an entry, please notify us as soon as possible. Any category with fewer than 3 entries will be eliminated and, if possible, quilt entries will be reassigned to a different category by the Judging Chair/Committee.
- Entrant must have actively participated in the construction and/or quilting of the quilt top.
- Entry forms must be turned in at either a PQG meeting by March 10, 2026 or mailed and postmarked by March 10, 2026. The entry form must have all information completed and all required enclosures included for an entry to be processed.
- Acceptance of Judged entries is on “first submitted / first accepted” basis up to 100 quilts. This is not a juried show. PQG members will be given priority during January and February. Non-refundable entry fee for PQG members must accompany each judged entry during January $15, February $15, and $20 in March.
- If the 100 judged quilt limit has not been met by March 1, regional quilt guild members may enter quilts for a non-refundable fee of $25 from March 1 – 10, 2026. See below.
- Select the proper category for your entry. The Judging Chair/Committee reserves the right to make the final placement of quilts in all categories.
- Entries must consist of 3 layers: backing, filler, and top, held together with stitching through all three layers. No False Backs, mounted, or framed quilts. Any embellishments must be securely attached with no sharp edges.
- Each entry must have:

- Entries will be judged by a NACQJ quilt judge. Decision of the judge is final. Each judged entry will receive a written evaluation form which the entrant must pick up at the quilt show or make other arrangements to receive.
- Common Threads Quilt Show will award the entrant any prize money and/or ribbon won.
- All entries must remain on display for the duration of the show.

JUDGED ENTRY RULES for regional quilt guild members
- Regional quilt guilds (RQG) include: Country Rose Quilt Guild (Derby, KS), Crazy Quilters (El Dorado, KS), Emma Creek Quilt Guild, (Hesston, KS), Heart of Kansas Quilt Guild (Hutchinson, KS), McPherson Quilt Guild (McPherson, KS), Pratt Area Quilt Guild (Pratt, KS), Silver Needles Quilt Guild (Salina, KS), Wheat Capital Quilt Society (Wellington, KS), Wichita Modern Quilt Guild (Wichita, KS), and Winfield Walnut Valley Quilt Guild (Winfield, KS).
- Regional quilt guild members do not need to be members of Prairie Quilt Guild.
- All above Judged Entry Rules for Prairie Quilt Guild members apply (other than #1) to regional quilt guild judged entries.
- If the 100 judged quilt limit has not been met by March 1, regional quilt guild members may enter quilts from March 1 – 10, 2026 for a non-refundable fee of $25.
- Judged quilt categories will be available online at www.wichitaquiltshow.com in December, 2025. Entry forms for regional quilt guild entries will be available at www.wichitaquiltshow.com in late February.
