Carol Elmore will be our 2022 Common Threads Quilt Show judge. She has been judging quilt shows in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas since 1996. She lives in Olathe and Manhattan, Kansas and retired in 2018 as a librarian at Kansas State University. Carol and her husband, Ronnie, also do lectures together on historical quilt topics and quilt expositions where she does appraisals.

Carol has been a certified appraiser with the American Quilter’s Society since 1995. She was program assistant to the AQS Appraiser Certification Program Committee from 2007-2010 and is now a member of the AQS Appraiser Certification Committee which is responsible for testing and evaluating new quilt appraisers. Carol is owner of Elmore Quilt Appraisals since 1993 and is a member of the American Quilter’s Society, Professional Association of Appraisers—Quilted Textiles (PAAQT), and the American Quilt Study Group (AQSG).
